'Lalo' and 'Girl With 2 Noses' are the first two songs Berend recorded on his 8-track recorder back in August '98 in his home in Amsterdam. These songs are not on the albums. Lalo is about a young Dutch couple living in NYC hurrying to get to Lalo Schifrin's (the famous filmscore composer) birthdayparty. While having a couple of close calls in a New York taxi cab they barely makes it on time for the festiveness. At the end of the song there is also a critical remark towards the Euro. The Girl with 2 Noses song is about a young girl who is raised by a military combat unit in peacetime and developes a great sense of direction and strategics as the years pass. When she is old enough to leave 'home' she gets a job at a state penitentiary where consequently every inmate falls in love with her. Weeeeeeee, I know, Bauer songs are sometimes pretty 'outthere' lyric wise. Still... enjoy.

Girl With 2 Noses The whole platoon bit the insides of their cheeks today things that reveal the real lives of this cranky girl Never before has Curby reached such spectacular scores Just let her be a little milder Camera zooms in from high above down to a ticking bomb She was just coughing up a rural piece of land Accused but not guilty of a skyhigh and complex love Just let her be a little milder Guards, wardens, prison folk saw summer as they woke shedding their winter fur covering Curby’s floor.
